Four tips on how to find new wines you'll LOVE!
1) Try everything!
You can't find new wines if you aren't a bit adventurous. Don't write off a wine because it is a certain color, from a grape or region. Try everything and then drink what you like.
2) Learn how to communicate what you like in wine.
Hey, we can help you there! Each week we focus on helping you learn how to communicate your likes and dislikes so you can replicate favorable experiences and steer clear on not-so-great ones.
3) Find Copy-Cat Grapes
The American consumer understands wine through grapes, particularly a handful of grapes, like Chardonnay, Riesling, Merlot or Cabernet, but there are thousands of different grapes out there.
For instance, if you like Sauvignon Blanc, you'd probably like Verdejo grape from the Spanish region of Rueda. Want more? Tune in at the 15:00 minute mark where I give you suggestions for Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Noir, Merlot & Cabernet.

4) Look for certain importers with a great reputation and a certain style of wine that may match your preferences.
We highlight one importer at the 29 min mark that does great juicy Spanish wines at fantastic prices and also some importers specializing in esoteric wines with more Old World appeal - where do you fall on this spectrum. Let us know in the comments below.
Thanks for tuning in!
